Paperbacks from Hell

Got a kick out of this. Paperbacks from Hell pays homage to the paperback horror boom of the 1980s where attention-grabbing covers like those above vied for my dollars when I stopped in the Benjamin Books in the World Trade Center mall on my way home from Brooklyn. I would pick up a few every time I ran out of the last batch.

The impossible was happening. The corpse, still streaming water from the many holes in its torso, was rising, hauling its way hand over hand up Charlie’s leg.
